For the iron oxide, earth colours and black shades best linseed oil is used as a binder, and for all other pigments poppy oil is used because it does not yellow nor become brittle with age. These Blockx Extra-Fine Artists Oil Colours are expressive, consistent, brilliant and lightfast. The paints have a buttery consistency and are easy to mix on the canvas.
