Gerstaecker Barium Sulphate is a white, lightfast sulphate which is used as a filler and blending agent for gilding and smooth surfaces. Barium sulfate is non-toxic and is often found in paints and varnishes.
This Gerstaecker Barium Sulphate is soft and very fine. If used with oily binders it dries transparently and with aqueous binders it is very opaque. Gerstaecker Barium Sulphate is sold in 1kg tubs.
