Kölner Permacoll Size

Kölner Permacoll Size is a permanent adhesive size for use with genuine gold and silver leaf. It offers more flexibility than traditional oil sizes.

This Kölner Permacoll Size dries quickly (within 15-30 minutes) and is receptive to leaf for hours or even days later. It is sold in 100ml bottles.

This product can be used directly onto smooth or textured non-porous surfaces, such as painted wood or plastics, and can be used on porous surfaces such as plaster or bare wood with appropriate sealing of the surface. Kölner Permacoll Size is ideal for making decorative gilded picture frames, ornaments, window displays and set decoration in theatre and film.

Kölner Permacoll Size is available in 2 versions:

33266 = clear

33267 = red (mimicking the look of traditional water-gilding which was traditionally done over red base colours).

Please note: leaf adhered using Kölner Permacoll Size cannot be burnished and the product is only suitable for interior use. Brush cleaning should be done with soap and water soon after use.
