Liquitex Heavy Gel Medium is a glossy, very viscous painting medium that can be mixed with Liquitex paints to enable oil painting effects in an even easier way.

The more Liquitex Heavy Gel Medium you mix with the paint, the more glossy and transparent it becomes. Due to its high density, the Heavy Gel Medium makes it easier to apply thick layers of paint and holds traces of a painting knife or brush. Since it dries very slowly, you can work on the colours longer.
