Schmincke Oil Primer Underpainting White, 120ml tube

Thanks to its special drying properties, Schmincke Oil Primer Underpainting White is the ideal shade of white for the lower painting layers in oil painting. It is sold in 120ml tubes.

If the warm-white linseed oil-based oil paint is applied thinly as an underpainting, it dries quite quickly and thus minimises the risk of the overlying layers of paint forming cracks.

N.B. Compared to other white Schmincke oil paints, Schmincke Oil Primer Underpainting White contains a very high proportion of linseed oil and therefore tends to yellow relatively strongly. It is therefore not suitable as a pure painting and mixing white.
